PubMed has the capability of exporting references into programs such as EndNote and Zotero. The file format is .nbib
You can export citations one at a time, or you can export them in large batches. Below is an overview of how to export references from PubMed.
Click on the article citation that you'd like to export. (see our helpful guides on how to use Endnote and Zotero to manage your citations!).
On the right hand side click on Cite
Select Download .nbib
Next, click "Create file"
A .nbib file will download to your downloads folder or may appear at the bottom of you browser.
