The MBKU Library is here to help you succeed!

How many logins are there for the library?

  1. Library Resources login (your full MBKU email login).

  2. My Checkouts Account login.

These use 2 different login credentials, explained in the tabs of the box below.

Online Access / Login Help

Library Resources Login

Once you click on an MBKU article, ebook, ejournal, or database, you will be prompted for your Library Resources Login. It is important to use the MBKU Library links on the website or guides to get access.

This login session will last 4 hours or until you close your browser, at which point you will be asked to login again. 

IMPORTANT: On 7/7/20, all students, staff, and faculty logins changed to their full MBKU email logins. 


Students / Faculty / Staff:

The username and password are now the same as your full email login.

  • Username: your full MBKU email address (ex. or
  • Password: your MBKU email password (lookup your email password with these instructions)

Residents / Outreach / Adjuncts / Preceptors:

  • Use the login provided to you by your program coordinator or the library.

  • If you can't remember the username and/or password, contact or your program coordinator. If emailing the Library, please note in your email to which program you belong. 

My Checkouts Account Login

This login is to manage your checkouts account of physical materials. You can see your list of checked out items, renew eligible items that will soon be overdue, and check for fines. 

From the library website, upper right corner, click either My Checkouts or Renew Items. Then login according to your status (student, etc.) listed below.

User ID #: the number 10 followed by your ID number found under "My Profile & Settings" on

Pin: SCCO (or whatever you changed it to)

Faculty / Staff / Others: 

User ID #: the number 10 followed by your ID number found under "My Profile & Settings" on, or assigned ID (there are exceptions to the rule, so please contact if you are unsure).

How do I reset my email password? (Students)


If you are unable to login to your email:

1. Go to (sign out of your account if needed).

2. Enter your full email address

3. Click on Forgot my password within the login screen to reset your password. It will send you a verification code to either your phone or alternate email address, whichever you registered*

4. After entering the one-time code sent to your alternate contact, Microsoft Office 365 will ask you to create a new password. Please choose a       strong password (i.e. one that is complex).

3. You can then use your new email password to access the online library resources

Note: It could take 1 to 60 minutes for your Library Resource login to match your reset email password. 


If you are currently logged in to your email:

1. Click on the circle with your initials in the upper right-hand corner.

2. Click View account


4. Enter your old password once and the new password twice, and click Submit.
