The following includes several hints and suggestions for successfully using Zoom
Getting Started
- Practice a meeting. Try starting a meeting just to familiarize yourself with the tools available for you to use.
Audio & Video
- Before attending a meeting test your audio through Zoom.
- If you are not currently presenting during a meeting, click the microphone icon to mute. Open microphones can often distract from presentations.
- Remember when entering a meeting the default option in Zoom (unless changed) is for your microphone to be on.
Meeting Communications
- The Raise Hand option allows participants to notify the presenter of a question without interrupting the presentation.
- The Chat feature allows participants to communicate and share files during the meeting.
- The Chat feature allows users to privately communicate with other participants or with everyone in the meeting, be sure to verify who you are chatting with before sending a message.
