What is Zoom?

Zoom is a web based real-time communication technology. 

System Recommendations

  • An internet connection - broadband wired or wireless
  • Speakers and a microphone - built in or USB plug-in or wireless Bluetooth
  • A webcam or HD webcam - built-in or USB plug-in

Using Zoom

  • You can join Zoom with your browser (Chrome or Firefox work best) or you can download the Zoom application on your computer. Zoom also offers an application for Android and Apple devices.

  • As shown in the image below, the computer application allows users to start a New Meeting, Join an existing meeting, Schedule a meeting, and Share Screen as well as keep track of upcoming meetings.
