Google & Google Scholar: Connecting to MBKU Library

Learn about Google Advanced Search, tools to stay up to date, and how to set up Google Scholar settings so that search results will show MBKU Library links.

Accessing MOST MBKU articles through Google Scholar

Follow the directions below to connect Google Scholar with most of MBKU Library's journal subscription access.

Google Scholar results will then display full-text links for articles in the right margin that are available via our MBKU library resources (along with the usual open access ones). When you click on an MBKU Library link in Google Scholar, you may be asked to sign-in; this verifies that you are affiliated with MBKU and therefore should access the full-text link for free.

If you get an error message or don't see a right-side margin link to the article you need, copy and paste the title of the article into the MBKU Discovery search box, where you will either access the full-text or click the link to request it via InterLibrary Loan.

1. To get to Google Scholar, click or type in the url box: Scholar.google.com

2. Click on the three dash menu icon to the left of "My Profile." Then click on "Settings."

3. Click on "Library Links."

4. In the search box, type and search for "MBKU" and then select the check box for "Marshall B. Ketchum University - MBKU Library."
