The Copyright Clearance Center is a great resource that shows whether MBKU has copyright clearance to use a journal article and books/eBooks. Types of use include in-class handouts, articles uploaded to Moodle, coursepacks, or electronic reserves.
Go to the Copyright Clearance Center page.
NOTE: To access the CCC from off-campus, you must sign in using your MBKU email address. First-time users will need to register using their Ketchum email address.
From the Getting Started page, click on the "RightFind Academic" link to access the tool. For more instructions on how to verify license coverage, click on the "RightFind Academic User Guide" link.

From here, you will be directed to the main page.

On the results page, look for the “How can I use this copyrighted content?” box next to the item record. This will tell you how you may or may not use the item. The green check marks indicate that you have copyright permission to use this material for certain educational purposes. Click on the use (digital sharing, photocopy sharing, etc.) to learn more.

You might also find results that have a green alert or red alert icon. The green alert icon indicates that copyright permissions do exist, but terms apply. The red alert icon shows that you do not have permission to reuse the item.

NOTE: If the CCC site offers permissions for a cost, the library does not cover these costs. Please check with your academic administrator prior to making any unauthorized purchases.
