Hello! I’m Emily Zimmermann, the Health Sciences Librarian at Marshall B. Ketchum University. I earned my MLIS from UNC Chapel Hill and my BA from the University of Toronto. Before joining MBKU, I worked in Special Collections at NC State and in Systematic Reviews at Wake Forest University School of Medicine.
My favorite part of my job is helping students grow as researchers and develop strong information literacy skills—whether through one-on-one literature search consultations or classroom instruction. I also enjoy collaborating with faculty on research projects, leading the IDEA Book Club, and managing our amazing team of library student employees. My research interests include generative AI, consumer health information, and public health communication.
